The list looks impressively specific. Add prices beside each car and it starts looking almost like somebody inspected his garage.
There is just one problem.
A repeated online claim is not the same thing as a verified inventory.
Several publications describe these cars as Rathee’s, but the publicly available evidence is much thinner than the confidence of those lists suggests. And one vehicle description circulating in recent coverage is technically wrong.
So, rather than admiring an imaginary set of keys, let us check what we actually know.
Quick Fact Box

|---|---|
| Which cars are commonly attributed to him? | Tesla Model 3, Range Rover P400e, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class |
| Is there a verified public inventory? | No |
| Has Rathee appeared with a Tesla Model 3? | Yes, but his own vlog says the car was rented |
| Are current Indian prices proof of what he paid? | No |
| Is every specification in recent “garage” articles accurate? | No; the Range Rover P400e is one example |
| Best description? | A reported car collection, not a confirmed four-car garage |
Where Did the Four-Car List Come From?
The trail is more interesting than the cars.
A 2023 CarBike360 article said Rathee owned a Tesla Model 3, Range Rover, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. (carbike360.com)
In 2024, ABP repeated substantially the same list while explicitly referring readers back to CarBike360. ABP News
By 2026, newer lifestyle pieces were again publishing the same four models. ET Now, for example, attributed its list to Magicbricks, while Outlook Luxe described the cars as “reported” and acknowledged that a comprehensive independently verified inventory of Rathee’s possessions was not publicly available. ET Now
This matters because four articles do not necessarily mean four independent confirmations.
Sometimes the internet is not a choir of witnesses.
It is one person saying something and three people adding better formatting.
1. Tesla Model 3: The One Car We Can Definitely Place Him In
There is strong primary evidence that Rathee has driven a Tesla Model 3.
In August 2022, his verified vlog channel published a video from Los Angeles in which he tested a red Model 3 and its driver-assistance features.
The description contains one extremely useful word:
“rent.”
Rathee says they rented the Tesla on their first day in Los Angeles. YouTube
So the video proves he drove one.
It does not prove he owned one.
That distinction sounds almost comically obvious, yet celebrity-car lists regularly treat photographed, borrowed, rented and sponsored vehicles as if the registration certificate has somehow transferred itself through Instagram.
There is another correction worth making. Some current coverage describes the Model 3 as having recently been introduced in India. Tesla’s own Indian website currently says the Model 3 is not available to order in India. Tesla
Rathee lives primarily in Germany, so an Indian sales launch would not determine whether he could own one there. It simply shows why vehicle claims need market-specific checking.
2. Range Rover P400e: Even the Specification Has Gone Wandering
The Range Rover claim reveals another problem with these lists.
Recent coverage describes a Range Rover P400e with a 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine, an electric motor and roughly 440 bhp.
That is not the specification Jaguar Land Rover published for the full-size Range Rover P400e.
JLR’s own 2020 technical information lists the P400e with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, plug-in hybrid system and 404 PS combined output. Its certified electric-only range was about 40 km. JLR Media
The company has also used the P400e badge on the Range Rover Velar, again with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder hybrid system producing 404 PS. JLR Media
So somewhere along the reporting chain, different Range Rover generations or powertrains appear to have been mixed together.
More importantly, I could not find a primary Rathee source establishing exactly which Range Rover model, generation or registration he owns.
Therefore the responsible sentence is:
A Range Rover P400e is repeatedly reported as part of his collection, but the ownership and exact specification are not independently established by the available primary evidence.
Less exciting than “₹4-crore beast in his garage.”
Considerably more useful.
3. BMW 5 Series: Which 5 Series?
“BMW 5 Series” sounds specific until you remember the nameplate has existed across multiple generations, engines, body lengths and markets.
The current Indian BMW range, for example, includes the 530Li M Sport Long Wheelbase, with a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 258 hp. BMW currently lists its starting price at ₹76.60 lakh. BMW India
But that tells us nothing about a car Rathee may or may not own.
An older German-market 5 Series, a current Indian 530Li and another generation can have very different specifications and values.
Without a model year, variant or primary confirmation, attaching today’s Indian showroom price to “Dhruv Rathee’s BMW 5 Series” creates an illusion of precision.
We know the product.
We do not know the key in his pocket.
4. Mercedes-Benz GLC: Same Problem, Different Badge
The Mercedes-Benz GLC claim has the same weakness.
The current Indian GLC range includes the GLC 220d 4MATIC diesel and GLC 300 4MATIC petrol. Mercedes lists the latter at 258 hp plus mild-hybrid assistance, while the diesel produces 197 hp plus assistance. Mercedes-Benz
Again, this describes cars Mercedes sells now.
It does not identify Rathee’s supposed GLC.
The GLC has existed through multiple years and variants in Europe. Without direct confirmation, a generic “Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class” entry is better treated as a reported association than a documented asset.
Can We Add the Four Prices and Calculate His Garage Value?
No—not responsibly.
Online articles sometimes do exactly that: take a current Indian price for each model, add the numbers and present the total as somebody’s “car collection worth.”
That calculation can fail in several ways.
The alleged cars may be different model years. They may have been bought used. They may be registered in Germany. Specifications and taxes differ between countries. Some models may no longer be current. Most importantly, ownership itself is not equally established.
A ₹70-lakh price written next to a Tesla does not prove somebody spent ₹70 lakh on it.
A price tag is not a property record.
Why Are People So Interested Anyway?
Because digital creators now occupy a cultural position once reserved mainly for film stars, cricketers and industrialists.
Audiences know Rathee through political commentary, explainers and travel or family vlogs. His verified main YouTube channel has tens of millions of subscribers, while his vlog channel offers glimpses into travel and everyday life. YouTube
That produces a familiar form of curiosity:
What does he earn?
Where does he live?
What car does he drive?
There is nothing inherently wrong with that interest.
The problem begins when curiosity becomes arithmetic built on recycled claims.
The better rule for celebrity wealth coverage is simple:
If the source cannot distinguish “seen with” from “owns,” the headline should not pretend it can.
What Can We Safely Say?
Three things.
First, multiple outlets have reported the same four-car list.
Second, Rathee has publicly driven cars including a Tesla Model 3—but at least one highly visible example was explicitly a rental.
Third, I could not establish from the available primary sources that all four vehicles form a current privately owned collection.
That does not prove the reports are false.
It means they remain insufficiently verified.
There is a surprisingly large difference between those two sentences.
The internet would be healthier if we used it more often.
Nokjhok Take
Celebrity garage stories are harmless fun until borrowed certainty enters the passenger seat.
Dhruv Rathee may own some, all or none of the four cars repeatedly listed online. But repetition cannot substitute for primary evidence, and a rented Tesla cannot quietly graduate into a personal asset because enough websites copy the claim.
The funniest part is that this is exactly the sort of subject where readers should apply the same rule used for serious news:
Find the original source.
With cars, at least the fact-check comes with nicer wheels.

FAQs
What cars is Dhruv Rathee reported to own?
Online reports commonly list a Tesla Model 3, Range Rover P400e, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. However, a complete independently verified ownership list is not publicly available. Outlook Luxe
Does Dhruv Rathee own a Tesla Model 3?
It is widely reported, but his clearest first-party Tesla video shows him driving a Model 3 that he explicitly says was rented in Los Angeles. That video therefore does not establish ownership. YouTube
Is the Tesla Model 3 currently sold in India?
Tesla’s current Indian Model 3 page says the overseas model is shown and the car is not available to order in India. Tesla
Does he own a Range Rover P400e?
Several secondary sources say so, but I could not locate primary evidence confirming the exact vehicle. Some recent articles also publish specifications that do not match JLR’s official P400e data. JLR Media
How much is Dhruv Rathee’s car collection worth?
There is no reliable figure. Adding current Indian showroom prices would ignore model year, country, depreciation, variant and, most importantly, whether each reported vehicle is actually owned by him.
Was Dhruv Rathee still detained when this article was checked?
No. He was detained in Gurugram on October 10, 2026 ahead of a planned protest and released later that day/night; reports published October 11 confirmed his release. The Indian Express
Next time you see a celebrity “₹10-crore garage” list, check one thing before admiring it: does the article actually prove who owns the keys?
