I generally dont cover much from Southern cinema, but if the project involves A. R. Rehman in any form, then I get interested. I dont understand a word of Tamil, but that has not prevented me from enjoying A. R. Rehman’s music in Tamil movies for sure. And I do believe he has given some of his best in his native language. America indian map north tribe.

Now this movie, Jillunu Oru Kaadhal seems to be a love story with Surya, Bhumika Chawla (She exists still?) and Jyothika (Jyothika who? Oh that one in Doli Sajake Rakhna? Yes.) - With two heroines and one hero, obviously the movie is a love story or so. buy mla essay, successful students tend to.

Here’s the trailer of the movie:

Anyways, what I was more interested in is of course the music by A. R. Rahman. Rahman is back in Tamil after a long time probably, and naturally everyone’s piqued by what he’s composed for this movie. Without further ado, here are some reviews I found in the blogosphere for Jillunu Oru Kaadhal:

Prabhu does a indepth analysis of each of the songs in the album, and recommends it highly:

After some time, a full romantic album from ARR. It was worth the wait. Do buy this album guys. Its worth it. I sincerely wish that the songs are picturised really well, unlike Ah Aah

Magixncurses is quite addicted to the songs of Sillunu:

Totally addicted to the album. If someone gets their hands on the lyrics, please pass a copy this way! Thanks..

Verdict? Naah, just advice. Go grab your copy!

Rahmantic wants to give this album 11/10:

New York - A R Rahman

Love this song to death.
Infatuation: In the the very beginning with Rahman ji humming.
The guitar is used magically. What can I say? I love it.
A R Rahman’s voice has really matured. It’s nice to hear him singing so beautifully.

I quite agree - New York blowed me away too - what a freaking good song this one is!

bdsays seems to be another one like me who doesnt understand Tamil, but the name A. R. Rahman is enough to drive him to music. I agree with him that except New York and Machakari, other songs didnt have that zing.

Machakari and New York Nagaram stand out as the best in the album. Both the songs share a sense of freshness that seems to be lacking in the rest of the songs.

I havent found more reviews in the blogosphere, but its pretty clear that A. R. Rehmans in particular are going gaga over it.

My take - it doesnt have the charishma of his earlier work, but the song New York  is worth the price of the entire album. Yes, that song is that good to hear!
